It is with extreme happiness that I accept The Liebster Blog Award.
I have been nominated by the magnanimous and feisty Mooselicker. Licker of Meese, if you didn’t already have a butt-load of awards under your belt I would’ve passed it on to you, but oh well. He didn’t want me to mention this but the giving and receiving of the award brought him to delicate, baby tears and made a trip to the local pet store where he cuddled with some puppies a necessity. After helping with a dog fashion show, that was specifically for 3-legged dogs, he went to the local nursing home where he spoon feeds wheel-chair bound residents and performs puppet shows before coming home and passing along the award to me and four other wonderful bloggers. I should mention that he also saved a little, mute boy who had fallen into a well before doing so. As this is my first blog award I really had to tightly cross my legs when I heard about it, to avoid a little pee coming out…like it did at my graduation.
As far as awards go on the prestigious meter the Liebster Award ranks somewhere between an Academy Award and a Trashy (the trophy of moldy take-out boxes the homeless man down the street gives unsuspecting passerby) so, needless to say, it’s something to get excited about!
Liebster comes from the word “dear” in German, which I know only because I’m a genius. My Austrian grandmother, who’s maiden name is Schwartzbard which, honest-to-god, is translated as Blackbeard, tells me…well she doesn’t know what a blog is exactly, but I’m sure she’d be proud!

As per my duties as Liebster Award winner I now have to pass the prestige on to five deserving bloggers so here goes!
He Shat She Shat– Oh my Gorgonzola. I just found this blog (a blog I’m sure needs no introduction, but oh well) and I am blown away. First of all, my love of the butt and all its gifts to the world obviously translates into loving a blog that has the word “shat” in it’s title…TWICE. And, secondly, it is just a funny freaking blog that I loved immediately and that those who haven’t checked it out should. Also, it’s literally about shitting and shatting, the bloggers all have awesome, poopy nicknames, so get excited!
Lovely Little Things– Miss LLT (which is an unofficial acronym) is an insightful and funny little blogger who writes about her journey to fulfill a dare set out by her friend to read 52 books before the year is out (though I believe she is shooting for a higher number). She writes about other aspects of her life as well but the books are the main focus right now. I am always in search of good books but prefer having her do the dirty work for me and tell me what to read! She also has an adorable cat who is quite the blogger, as well.
Oh God, My Wife is German– This was one of the first blogs I discovered when I started my blog and it always gives me a good laugh. He explains what it’s liked to have a multicultural marriage through hilarious quotes from his wife who is (SPOILER ALERT) German. He also has an amazing gallery of ridiculous photos that I’ve goon through way too many times.
Print & Pattern– This is a departure from my normal type of blog but is a wonderful place to learn about all the current fashions and current trends in the art world. Not only is this blog aesthetically pleasing it has an interesting take on styles of the moment and provides a creative array of pictures. As a big fashion magazine whore (I’m referring to myself) it is the perfect place for a quick fashion fix!
For Better GENIUS– He is a fun, funny, fun-loving blogger who writes about his take on life, which is a little like going to Disney World drunk. Therefore, I love it. Please stop by and read about his curious thoughts and quirky musings. It’s nice to hear from a writer who allows his mind to take him down any ridiculous path it chooses!

I just closed my eyes and thought “what is mooselicker doing right now?” aaannndd I might have been a teeny bit drunk:)
thank you, kind ladyface. now (attempting to not look at this like work) I have to determine a series of words to throw down (violently or gently, I have yet to decide) in a liebster post on my own site as well as the daunting task of finding 5 other blogs (not to mention ones that have less than 200 followers or whatever they preferred to be called). perhaps I’ll also make an attempting at reducing these horrendously long run-on sentences including no more than one parenthesis side thought per sentence (so if i do this one, by my own rules I’m not allowed to write another as soon as this line is finished) ……. (self-imposed fail).
In due time this shall be created and all of the fish in the sea will weep joyous tears that you can’t see because they’re already surrounded by water.
Ok, take deep, soothing breaths. Innnnnn and ouuuuuut. Keep run-ons, they are very endearing, think of them as humanizing! and don’t think of it like work! Take your time, just look at blogs you already follow and pick the coolest cats:) you got this. I am a mermaid so the fish and I shall hold an unforgettable festival on the day of the post and it will be glorious!
